POLYKAR EARNS ICI ON RECYCLE!’S GOLD SEAL FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

On November 22, 2012, Recyc-Quebec’s ICI ON RECYCLE! Program awarded Les Industries Polykar the highest award – a gold seal – for attaining the highest grade at Level 3, the Performance category, for amongst other things, attaining a record 98.6% recycling rate.

ICI ON RECYCLE’S Performance category aims to recognize institutions that have achieved the highest results in enhanced waste management. Certified institutions such as Polykar, would have implemented measures to reduce, reuse, recycle and aid the recovery of specific waste materials. In addition, they will have conducted outreach and awareness initiatives on waste management within their respective institutions.

The event took place at Delta Centre-Ville, Montreal, with approximately 100 guests and business representatives from around the Montreal region. The gold seal award was presented to Madame Elyse Damdjee, President of Polykar who attended the ceremony with colleagues Ms. Celine Levac, General Manager and Mr Danny Lecompte, Finance Director. This year marks the third time Polykar has received such an award.
