03/02/2014 - News

Dear Clients,
Over the last few weeks, we have seen a significant deterioration in the value of the Canadian dollar versus the US dollar. As you all know, our primary raw material, polyethylene, is purchased in
US dollar currency, and therefore a drop in the Canadian dollar increases our raw material costs.

We are already being impacted by these rising costs and therefore, we are obliged to announce
a price increase on all our plastic bags effective Monday, March 3, 2014.
The price increase will be as follows:
-       Polykar’s own brand, oxo-degradable and the E Series brand of black garbage bags: 3%
-       Compostable bags: 3%
-       All white and clear garbage bags: 6%
-       High density garbage bags: 6%
-       Food approved poly bags (SR, PF, PB, SX, ILSR and DR Series): 7%
-       Industrial and food grade bags on a roll: 7%
To benefit from current prices, we kindly request your cooperation to submit all orders
before Friday, February 21, 2014. Revised price lists will be made available in the coming days.
At Polykar, we value your business and thank you for your continued confidence in our products. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or require any clarifications.
