Polykar is pleased to inform its customers that it is launching a line of compostable garbage bags that comply with the ASTM D6400 standard specifications for compostable plastics.

The bags are also certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and The United States Composting Council (USCC) and compliant with the BNQ-9011-911 norm of the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ).

This new line of compostable bags is made from renewable resources and the ECOFLEX® resin made by BASF, the world’s largest chemical company. Polykar has entered into a unique cobranding partnership with BASF in Canada aimed at better serving the institutional and industrial markets for compostable bags in Canada.
